Noted food blogger Poorna Banerjee, who blogs at “Presented by P,” has recently started Sugar Me, a desert home delivery service. Sugar Me offers home delivery service of customised cakes, cookies and chocolates at your door steps, anywhere in Kolkata.
Also you can surprise your friends, on their birthdays and anniversary, with customised goodies from Sugar Me.
Poorna is a not only a fellow blogger but also a friend. She recently sent me an assorted package of her amazing creations. The package consisted of four assorted desserts.
Heart 2 Heart
“These comes from our special Valentine’s day menu. Snap the chocolate heart & let the caramel melt your heart as the fudgy nuts give you company”
Technically speaking, the Heart 2 Heart is not a cup cake but dark chocolate filled with sugary caramel and toped with a pink heart, cut out of a fondant sheet.
No wonder an ideal Valentine Day gift, which reached me exactly a week before the Valentine’s day.
The bitterness of the chocolate and the sweetness of the sugar created a unique taste but it didn’t contain the fudgy nuts, which was mentioned in the tag.
Death by Ferrero
“These delectable Ferrero Rocher cupcakes are pure indulgence. One bite and you reach the chocolate hazel nut heaven!!!”
Ferrero Rocher chocolates are an obsession by itself and when a hazel nut cupcake is crowned with a Ferroro Rocher chocolate, something out of the world is formed.
In Death by Ferrero the crispy chocolate flavor of Ferrero Rocher blends with the mild flavor of the hazel nut icing, spread over the chocolate cupcake.
The chocolate cupcake is a bit sticky but the combination of hazel nut icing and Ferrero Rocher chocolates really create a deadly combination.
Muddy Cup
“Our twist on the classic tart, an amalgamation of classy and messy”
Wikipedia defines tart as a baked dish consisting of a filling over a pastry base with a open top not covered with pastry.
Mud pie on the other hand is a dense chocolate cake.
The Muddy Cup is a combination of the tart and mud pie, where a tart is stuffed with dense chocolate and sprinkled with chocolate chips on top.
Eating the Muddy Cup is definitely a messy affair, but the unique combination of the crispy tart with the dense chocolate filling and the sprinkle of chocolate chips, is an experience worth trying, in spite of the mess!!!
Chocolate Chip Muffin
“These muffins are fluffy and bursting with chocolate chips!”
According to Wikipedia, Muffin refers to an individual sized quick bread product which can be sweet or savory.
The Chocolate Chips Muffin was wrapped in a beautiful red – white polka dot wrapper.
As mentioned in the name, the muffin was loaded with generous volumes of chocolate chips.
A few of the chocolate chips in the interior of the muffin had melted, but with loads of chocolate in every bite, its a experience worth trying.
A special thanks to Poorna and Sugar Me for the wonderful sweet tooth experience, and wishing all the best.
