Thanks to Camarena for organizing my photo exhibition and photo adda. The details of the two events are provided below.
Photo Adda
Topic: Architecture Photography and My Photography Experience
Venue: Camerena Super Store
Date and Time: 13 Dec 2014, 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
The slide show presented at the photo adda session at the Camerena Super Stores in Emall, near the Chandni Chawk Metro Station, was divided into four parts, namely:
- Buildings and Monuments
- Architectural Details
- Heritage Interiors
- Architectural Panorama
The photos displayed covered a wide geographical area ranging from the Mughal architectures of Delhi to the colonial architectures of Calcutta (Kolkata).
The architectural details section included close up of terracotta panels and Islamic calligraphy, it also included architectural details from Zagreb, Croatia.
The heritage interiors consisted of interiors shots of Churches and Synagogues and even of Islamic tombs.The panoramic section mainly consisted mainly of my photos shot in Zagreb, Croatia. Also the collection consisted of panoramas of temple complexes.
The period between the slide show was devoted to adda, where I shared my photography experience and feloow photographers shared their experience also. From copyright issues to photographic ethics the adda covered a wide range of toppics.

Title: Armenians in Calcutta, Churches and Festivals

Date and Time: 10 Dec – 30 Dec 2014, 10:00 am – 8:00 pm

The exhibition titled “Armenians in Calcutta, Churches and Festival” consisted of 18, 30” X 20” frames.
The photo graphs were shot over a period of 4 to 5 years in four different Armenian Churches in West Bengal.
The photo exhibited includes four of the five Armenian Churches of West Bengal.
- Armenian Church of the Holy Nazareth, Burra Bazar, Calcutta (Kolkata)
- St. Gregory, the Illuminator, Armenian Church, Park Circus, Calcutta (Kolkata)
- Holy Trinity Armenian Church, Tangra, Calcutta (Kolkata)
- St. John, the Baptist, Church, Chinsurah (Chuchura)
The exhibit photos covered a wide range of Armenian festivals and rituals that are still being held in these Armenian Churches.
The festival and the rituals covered are listed below:
- Armenian Christmas
- Armenian Good Friday
- Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day
- Armenian Pilgrimage to Chinsurah
- Blessing of the Grapes
